Sex and the City Dresses

I was super-excited to see a display of iconic SATC dresses at Chadstone the other day while browsing before my facial. Many of the dresses looked much better in the show, but Carrie's wedding dress is definitely a standout.

So you want to be a Journalist/ Writer/ Editor/ Publicist...

This post is dedicated to you (you know who you are!) to inspire you. This is what your life could look like! Let me take you on an imaginary journey through your potential future...

April O'Neil was a reporter from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, possibly the first fictional journalist we were aware of. She was also the only female and totally kicked ass solving crimes and writing stories.

Lois Lane came next, writing her little heart out in to bring Metropolis their Daily News. She was also lucky enough to work with dorky and bespectacled Clark Kent, and was rescued surprisingly often by Super Man himself (for a smart girl she obviously wasn't very observant)

Carrie Bradshaw is the SATC character most like you (with the exception that she writes about love and relationships obviously! Maybe swap that for Miranda Hobbes' sarcastic streak?!?) - is is somewhat messy and a little irresponsible, but loveable and creative.

This is us taking a break from work/study to people watch and catch up on things, particularly how our philanthropic projects in Cambodia and Africa are going (please note your masculine boots!)

Researching hot topics in the past, present and future!

A good option for your journalistic uniform, when you're on a more professional job!

Stylin' it up old-school (your typewriter is in my wardrobe if you need it)

Getting down to business with more modern appliances.

You and I celebrating at a cool underground party after you finished an amazing piece with great journalistic integrity (well done!), or at a party for an organisation you've been doing PR for.

Another cool outfit you can wear, perhaps on a more casual day.

Last but not least, essential tools of the trade!

Hope you're somewhat inspired xx

The Coveteur

I just finished watching an episode of ABC1's 'The Slap', based on a book by Christos Tsiolkos. I've heard its a great book but I haven't read it myself. What caught my eye was the awesome interiors of the Melbourne townhouses/ houses/ apartments that were so cozy yet trendy. Reminds me a bit of 'Secret Life of Us' also. As I'll be moving to Melbourne soon I've very excited about the prospect of setting up a place without that 'student share accommodation' feel. Here are some interiors I've been coveting from an awesome website  - http://thecoveteur.com/ - among other places.
