Queenstown Day 4. & 5.

Day 4 involved more extreme sports. White water rafting with rapids up to a Grade 4. And a mechanical bull. That was extreme. As was the cowboy decor and 80s music video clips. Then we ended up on a pub crawl which was awesome even though it was a Monday night. Possessions were lost :)
These drinks came in teapots with fluoro shot glasses, they were SO tasty!

Rugby themes snacks on the Air New Zealand flight from Queenstown to Chirstchurch.

Queenstown Day 3.

Day three was a winery tour with 'summer sampler' menu... the perfect way to unwind after our day of adventure. The area of Queenstown specialises in Sauv Blanc (I don't like whites much) and Pinot Noir (my favourite red). The last winery was also an art gallery with some very cool works. The day ended with more drinking and rugby (Australia v South Africa, New Zealand v Argentina).

Queenstown Day 2.

Day 2 in Queenstown we had a day of adventure: jet boating at high speeds around the narrow jade-coloured lakes, a helicopter ride, the luge (like non-mechanical go karts) down the mountain, Ziptrekking through the treetops and then more drinking to celebrate the Rugby World Cup (France v England, Ireland v Wales).

Queenstown Day 1.

I recently made it to Queenstown, NZ for a few days at the end of the snow season. I had never been to NZ before and was surprised how different it was to Australia- everything seems more 'natural' and beautiful.
The trip started on the 'Powderfinger' Jet which I thought was cool, and even the views of NZ from the plane were stunning!
After a quick nap at our hotel (which our tax driver described as 'a bit out of town' read: 300m walk from the town which is only 4 blocks by 4 blocks), we made the pilgrimage to Ferg Berger.
Their slogan is 'Ferg Loves You' when in all honesty this burger joint has a cult following and always has a queue out to the street. The burgers are amazing but they are as big as frisbees, trust me, you don't need the fries!
Then beer and bed to prepare for the next adventure :)

If at first you don't succeed, dye and dye again

My initial attempts at the dip-dye left me with only little bits of orange at the bottom of my otherwise blonde hair, and it blended to yellow somewhere in the middle as if no one had ever introduced me to toner. I decided to add more pink to the ends to make it more vibrant.

Here is the initial attempt:

Taylor Tomasi Hill

Another fashion inspiration (seen earlier in my post about my orange obsession and sexy red heads). She is the accessories editor for US Marie Claire. I just love that she pulls off the vibrant red, and she has the most amazing sunglasses.
How amazing does her wedding look?

Anna Dello Russo

Anno Dello Russo is the Editor of Japanese Vogue, and its no surprise that her quirky charisma is such a hit there. She was described by Helmut Newton as a 'Fashion Maniac' which I think is a perfect fit for her. She has a penchant for unusual hats and eye-catching outfits, and the confidence with which she carries them off is inspirational. Here are some of her more enviable outfits...
P.S. I have seen this Stella McCartney dress (photo 7) so many times (including on Liv Tyler- stunning!) and its on my wishlist.
